Today effects of changes in the understanding of corporate social responsibility are seen as increased responsible behavior by owners and managers of the companies and reflecting those behaviors in their business operations. In this manner, besides meeting economic, ethical and legislative responsibilities, in order to sustain its existence and gain competitive advantage management or managers also demonstrate effort towards increasing life quality of all components that the business has a relationship with. In other words, including social and environmental issues in business strategies is unavoidable for the success of businesses. In this regard, effects of changes in the understanding and concept of corporate social responsibility from past to present on the roles and responsibilities of managers and subjects included in business processes as a result of the decision given by the management or managers towards behaving within corporate social responsibility have been discussed in this study. Moreover, a proposal that management of corporate social responsibility should be realized by the administration of a top management that will meet the corporate social responsibility and that will have special knowledge skills and demonstrate a proactive attitude towards solving society’s basic problems has been proposed.
